The Revive Time: Kaki Tree Project is an art project that aims to impart the importance of peace and life. A persimmon tree that miraculously survived after the Nagasaki bomb in 1945.
The “second-generation saplings” from atomic-bombed kaki trees are distributed to children all around the world, and they are encouraged to grow the plants while expressing themselves artistically under the theme of the kaki trees.
Art has the power to envision the pain of others and to create a new world. It is something that gives people empathy that transcends nationality, religion, race, and even language.
Throughout its 29 years since its foundation, the Revive Time: Kaki Tree Project has nurtured the seeds of art and peace in the hearts of over 30,000 children through its activities. We look forward to your visit.

These two artists have been developing a variety of collaborative works that transcend the traditional boundaries of art since their early careers. Being friends from their art university era, they will look back on each other's artistic origins, trace their journeys to the present, and discuss the future.

Part 2: The Sustained Power of Schools, Towns, and Museums
Speakers: "Reviving Time: Kaki Tree Project" tree planting organizers and participating artists

This spring, the "Revive Time: Kaki Tree Project" Executive Committee visited Italy, a major tree-planting site in Europe, to see the growth of kaki trees. At the planting site that has been 20 or 25 years, people are passing on the project's message to the next generation. There are also dedicated individuals in Japan, who continue to share similar commitments. Would you like to learn about their activities and share your thoughts on peace together?

In this program, Part 1 will present a local report featuring video footage of the Italian anniversary festival, which will be shown for the first time. In Part 2, we will welcome Tatsuo Miyajima as a listener, talking about the power of the activities through episodes from various places. Also at the venue, children can participate in folding kaki tree seed origami, drawing peace messages, chatting with committee members, and sharing their own peace actions!
