7 Japanese photographers, Kazuhei Kimura, Kenta Cobayashi, Hajime Sawatari, Sakiko Nomura, Mayumi Hosokura, Yoshinori Mizutani, and Daido Moriyama photographed 7 gentlemen of today: Arata Iura (actor), Junya Ishigami (architect), Nobuaki Kaneko (musician/actor), Naoki Kusumi (plasterer), Jun Shison (actor), Yoshiyuki Morioka (representative of Morioka Shoten), Shuichi Yoshida (novelist). Living their way with pride in each of their fields, they stand with a demeanor of a true gentleman wearing GUCCI. Portraiture, one of the most prominent photographic techniques, brings to life the characters of a modern-day gentleman.
The book’s closing text, “A Guidebook for the Gentlemen of the New Age – A to Z by IMA,” serves as an index of the required knowledge and attitude for a gentleman today.
